Garcinia cambogia extract is a fat burning supplement that specifically utilises its hydroxycitric acid, which is a citric byproduct, to block fat by inhibiting citrate lyase—a metabolic enzyme that converts sugar and carbohydrates into fatty acids, triglycerides, and unhealthy cholesterol. With new research, health and medical professionals began offering garcinia cambogia extract, combined with other remedies that also contain fat burning compounds, to assist with weight loss efforts by suppressing appetite and stopping the body from storing excess fat.

A garcinia cambogia extract supplement is well known for its appetite suppressant capabilities. Garcinia cambogia’s HCA nutrient suppresses appetite by increasing serotonin levels in the body, which is a neurotransmitter in the brain that is responsible for mood, as well as appetite control.
